Turkey ….. there are lots and lots of taglines that best describes the country and I feel that those are not enough. It’s a melting pot of cultures, civilizations, diverse people, religions that has ruled on, kingdoms that have captured and tried to make HER their own…. But she stood out shining… withstanding through thick and thin of all those time. Continue reading
Kismish and her hubby Barfi came over to our house for a chit chat and as usual we ended up deciding to take a gastronomic stroll as they hadn’t had their dinner yet and Kismish was drooling over some nice pasta to have… (Jamie Oliver was cooking some pasta on Fatafeat which was damn tempting… LOL). The above pic of this lovely melt in the mouth Bread Pudding was taken @ Zende Restaurant @ Seri Pacific Hotel, next to PWTC, Kuala Lumpur. Both me and Shy love the ambiance as well the food there, which is fairly priced.
Their buffet spread is quite extravagant including both delicious local as well International cuisines and live stations. It’s a must try….
After a long thought we decided to explore the Crystal Mosque. Fed the destination on to the GPS and set out in our car. The route seemed forever and never ending as the GPS calculations were going crazy with varying distance info. It was getting dark and we were driving on a totally strange path. Continue reading
It has been a while since my initial update…
Therez so much I want to share with you all about our travel to Hat Yai in Thailand and also about the other places we have ventured into in Kelantan…..
Alas.. I’m entangled in the web of exams coming up and hence have minimal time to spare for my blog…. 😦 but promise that i’ll be back soon with all the details of my visits…
Its been almost 4 months since I’ve relocated to Kelantan – one of the North – Eastern state of Peninsular Malaysia with Kota Bharu as it’s capital.
Kelantan is known as the “Cradle of Malaysian Culture”…… a place I found, still preserved in its beauty and culture, at the same time opened up to modernization. The mob here still prefers their traditional food than the fast food.. As in other Malay cities, the streets are always filled with food vendors, again the traditional food as Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu,Nasi Tumpang, Nasi Kukus, Nasi Lemak, Variety of Fish Dishes, Kelantan’s own styled kuih muih and much much more…. especially those endless rows of food and colorful drinks at the Pasar Malam (Night Market)…. that leaves an ocean drooling from your mouth… 🙂 Continue reading
It’s been quite some time since I’ve been speculating to enter the world of bloggers. But that golden word called LATER kept me delaying myself….
When i started out here WordPress gave me an example of how to write, with a famous quote of William Shakespeare from his Midsummer Night’s Dream. Did those lines inspire me?!!
Honestly, yes and always. I have always admired the ability of poets and writers… where they play with words in such a way that mesmerizes the reader or listener. I have wanted to write like them but….. guess destiny showed me a different path to follow..
The poet’s eye, in a fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing
